Do you think he made it? Did Paul really get home by car?

EASTER IN MUNICH AND HOW WE MET OUR FANS ON THE WAY HOME

It all started with two ideas. Andi, our long-time German manager and supporter wanted us to play in Munich again and Vojta, our tour-manager, wanted to keep the notorious Moravian tradition of whipping girls on Easter Monday. They both went down quite well (click on the photo for more photos).

I wrote on this Facebook last night as we glided through the snowy night: This is the phase of the band “career” when you can actually meet your fans and talk to them, ask them anything you want… And watch their eyes flash with excitement when they reply. I like the fact that we can do this. I love it. Albert

We played in Prague for the Metropolitan University the other day. Having been seated in this posh French restaurant considering fois gras (don’t know about spelling here) and more mind-blowingly expensive things on the menu, we were kindly told to go downstairs and ended up having a laugh. Both photos taken by Pelda, the FOH super sound-man. Albert

YZA JUST SHOWED ME HIS NEW VIDEO I am sitting in his room and can’t believe my eyes

Hooray, COCO !We’ve got “The Anděl Award” for the Czech song of the year 2012

“Czech Music Awards”. What a promising name! Does it mean that they want to make it international? :-) I wish you could see Albert´s mother that night. If my girlfriend looks like that at her age, I will go marry her tomorrow…

We’ve got three nomination for Czech Grammies (Anděl 2013) if I may call them that. We were officially voted as The Band of the Year on Óčko TV and were nominated for the Apollo Award (Czech Mercury Prize in a way). I’m happy about all that. Especially because of the exposure and more shows we’ll get to play that way. Thanks, Albert

BIRTHDAY CAKE AND TIME-TRAVEL thanks for your wishes, everyone!

Many people I know and many people I don’t know wished me happy birthday at the right time (only I claim to have written this on Feb 19th while it’s early March already – technology does it). I just wanna thank you guys for the wishes. The tasty side of being in a band is the fact that you occasionally get cakes from fans.

In Brno, I got some delicious home-made cheesecake from our hardcore fans who came to see us both days. The chocolate cake in the picture is another story. Johnny didn’t have any at all. He was in hospital at the time. Albert

WE PLAY AT THE GREAT ESCAPE 2013 come see us in BRIGHTON on MAY 16TH-18TH

I know the picture above doesn’t look great – it’s because it’s white, sorry. We are soooo happy to be playing at The Great Escape in Brighton this year! We are now confirmed on their website: http://mamacolive.com/thegreatescape/artist?id=12068 and I wanna say a big thanks to Folkgeek for making Someone With A Slow Heartbeat their track of the day.

Soon, there will be a new music video for a song recorded in Iceland featuring Markéta Irglová – scroll down or click here for more. Å.
