Rock-popping, are we?

After having spent a week with our producer closed up in the old walls of my wooden cottage, we got to know one another a lot better. We set up the equipment in the living room with a large white-brick fireplace, that would soon provide the house with a cosy atmosphere and literally warmth too. By the crackling fire, we gave many songs a very different feel, form and often a harder, more rock and roll sound. Every morning and night, there were two groups of people – those who preferred going to bed earlier and getting up earlier vs. those who wouldn´t go to bed until 1:30 a.m. I was in the first one. Anyway, by the end of our stay, we would find ourselves jamming late at night inventing a slow tune at 2:45 a.m. with a chorus saying: „It´s enough for today, enough for today…“ At noon we always cooked some surprisingly delicious food with the help of the invisible 5th band member. The main purpose of this, however, was the pre-recording of the tracks for our debut album and we did it!

Before that, we played two concerts on quite big stages with quite big audience listening to us. There were many good bands, one of which was really sticking out. I´m talking about Blue Effect who got the crowd going by playing spectacular covers by immortal artists.

But NOW we´re reharsing again. Coldplay are recording an album with Brian Eno, Radiohead are mastering their seventh LP in New York. It makes me shiver to imagine how we´ll be doing more or less the same in a few days. Waking up either right in the studio or somewhere in Prague with an exciting day possibly full of hopefully creative arguments ahead. Numerous takes will follow. Pre-mixing, production, mastering, making of the booklet, whatever and there you go…  You´ll be able to go buy it yourself!

I´m looking forward to all that. Please check out the newest Rock and Pop magazine for an article about us.

We´ll keep in touch! Albert
